How did your career begin? As far as I know, you started in the youth team of Nistru (Chobruchi).

How did the “Sheriff " option come about?

- I played for "Tiligul" for six or seven years, was called up to the youth team of Moldova, "Tiligul" then played in European competitions, I played constantly in the first team. After that, I was invited to the Sheriff's.

2002. You went to the Commonwealth Cup...

- In the group we then beat everyone. In the quarterfinals, we lost to Spartak Moscow.

There was a nervous trembling? After all, at that time, Spartak dominated Russian football.

- As such jitters were not. As one coach, Alexander Spiridon, told me “ " If you don't have jitters before a game, you need to finish.” Only you go out on the field immediately pass to your own, a good tackle and immediately the jitters disappear who would not play in front of you. And " Spartak” at that time was the standard of Russian football. There the names were Tikhonov, Titov, Baranov and Sychev young then. The summer of 2002 comes, the opening of the main arena “Sheriff”. What were your personal emotions? To enter such an arena in general in Moldova, which previously seemed impossible.

- The emotions were crazy of course. This stadium is the first, the second it was my debut game in the Champions League qualification. Before that, he played in the UEFA Cup and the Cup of Cups as a member of the Tiligul team. And when we went out on the field, there was a crazy downpour, both we and the opponent began to warm up on the training field. And when we saw the atmosphere, 15 thousand spectators who supported it was very pleasant, I repeat the atmosphere was fantastic. People in general at that time went to matches of " Sheriff”, even to the most ordinary games for 5-6 thousand.

In that game, you played against the team "Zhenis" (Astana), "Sheriff" missed in the first half. How did Mr. Balint set you up for the second half? Given the weather conditions, the game was very difficult, tense until the last second.

- We came to the locker room Balint never shouted, he was a calm coach, explained everything, said everything, you play your game, there are chances, there will be goals. People were waiting for this game, the opening of the stadium, we just had no right to hit our face in the dirt. Cheered us up, get ready for the second half. Everyone sat down calmly, who with whom, discussed some points. We went out for the second half, calmly, we were sure that we would score. In training, we played a lot of standard positions. The head played quite well at that time, Vadik Borets served, I played ahead and scored. I remember this moment very well. And then Vazha made the score 2-1 with a penalty and we won.

2003. You have a period of preparation for the Commonwealth Cup. The task before the team is only to win. As I know, Mr. Balint immediately said that it will not be easy, given that this is the winter off-season, the team after the holiday and the time to prepare is not enough and the conditions are not easy. How difficult was it for the team physically and mentally?

- We, during the vacation, the coaching staff distributed programs to everyone, he knew that there would be a month of vacation, so that we would not sit and swim fat. The program included five training sessions a week, during our vacation, running, jogging. I'm 98% sure that almost all the guys did it. Because when we gathered after the new year, there were two weeks left before the tournament, everyone came more or less prepared for 50-60%, the preparation was in physical terms. In the first training sessions, he gave us a good run and then with the balls, all with the balls. We came to the tournament in pretty good shape. I now understand what Balint sacrificed before the start of the season to take this trophy.

In the final match, there was an episode when Skonto equalized the score, after that Vazha Tarkhnishvili just miraculously knocked the ball out of the field from the opponent's foot, although it seemed that there would be a goal in our goal, after which you hit the crossbar

- Then in the final, no one spared himself, after that, yes, I remember the moment, I hit from 30 meters with a tight blow. In general, I wanted to throw the goalkeeper of the Skonto club, but it so happened that I was a little unlucky.

Was it the most difficult match for the team? Just before that, you managed to beat Lokomotiv Moscow in the semifinals.

- Yes, it was the most difficult match. "Lokomotiv" played a mixed team, there were players from the main team and young people, with "Lokomotiv" it was easier for us. And the final, there is a final.

Do you remember how you were greeted in Tiraspol?

"Of course! Ensemble, music, fans, family and friends at the airport. Everything was beautiful.

After that, in 2003, in the summer of the Champions League qualification, the opponents got the club “Flora " from Estonia. Before that, you literally played with this team at the Commonwealth Cup. Was there any relaxation? Considering that you beat them very badly in the group stage back then. And in European competitions, with difficulty passed. Thanks to Christian Tudor, who scored a great goal.

We knew that the European Cup games will consist of two matches. They studied us, we studied them. There was a confidence that we are obliged to pass this team.

Let's move on. 2004, you are going to the Commonwealth Cup again, this time it was quite difficult. The semi-final game with “Dynamo” (Tbilisi). Then, you lost to the opponent, too, the match was very tough. At the end of the match, a brawl broke out between the teams.

- We had a Brazilian Santos, Vitali Daraselia played in Dynamo. Is the son of Vitaly Daraselia, who played for the USSR national team. Whether that offended him, he was a big guy, well, the Georgians themselves know the blood is hot, and the team went to the team. I remember we were taken out then, as there were more Georgian fans than ours. Some of them also broke through on the field, and we got a little bit and they got it. After that, a representative of Dynamo came to us in the locker room, and said guys, I'm responsible for my words, everything will be fine, somehow calmly dispersed, and we lived in the same hotel, already met in a restaurant for dinner, shook hands, talked. This of course was an unpleasant moment in general, this is the only time there was such a thing in my life like this.

About the confrontations against Zimbru (Chisinau). Also, these were hot matches, now there is no such thing and it will not be in our country. Was it a special attitude to the opponent?

- It was a very special mood. We could have lost to anyone but Zimbra. I remember these games, both in Chisinau and in Tiraspol. A full stadium always came to " Zimbra”, in those days when we played people went. At Zimbru, the stadium was constantly packed.

What do you think? Why now in Moldova? Football can be said to have died, there is no football now in the country. There is one team that solves its problems to play in the Champions League.

- I think that this is an economic component in the country. This is one time. Maybe that's my opinion. See when "Sheriff" played then, "Zimbra"... Every year, two or three teams sold players to Russia, our Moldovan players, I do not mean foreign players, namely guys with Moldovan passports. Seryozha Dadu, Stas Ivanov, me, Oleg Gumenyuk. In 2005, you moved to Russia, to the club “Khimki". Tell us about your period of this career. Another country, another championship, a new club for you.
